The successful Birmingham’s Hidden Spaces project is reaching out to the public to ask them to submit oral histories to the project’s growing library of material. Two public engagement sessions will be held in the Library of Birmingham, on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th of November. The collated recordings will be stored digitally and then then made accessible to the public via the Hidden Spaces website and potentially in future exhibitions.
Members of the team will be on hand at the engagement days to make audio and visual recordings of interesting stories relating to spaces covered in the previous supplements and exhibitions, a list of which can be found on the project’s website. The team is also looking to hear from people who have interesting stories relating to other buildings and spaces not covered by the articles.
The team will be present from 10am to 4pm each day.
We hope to see you there.
