Birmingham's Hidden Spaces began in 2013 following a conversation over coffee between Associated Architects and the Birmingham Post.

Nearly two years on the project has grown beyond expectations, capturing the imagination of people of all ages and, most importantly, getting people excited about Birmingham.

Join us as we hear from the people at the front line of the Birmingham's Hidden Spaces project, Stacey Barnfield, Editor of the Birmingham Post and Matthew Goer, director at Associated Architects, about how their love-affair with the city became the popular project it is today.

Stacey Barnfield is the Editor of the Birmingham Post and a proud Brummie. He joined the Post in March 2013 after four years as executive editor on the sister title the Birmingham Mail.

Matthew Goer joined Associated Architects in 1990, became a partner in 2001 and a Director of Associated Architects LLP on its formation in 2003. He is a graduate of Birmingham School of Architecture and a passionate advocate of all things Birmingham.
